USS SIGSBEE Model 

In July, Lt. Gene Myers, of Louisville, Ky. attended the DesRon 25 reunion held in his hometown.  Lt. Myers is  89 years young and he is an avid collector and builder of model ships.  He built and donated a Fletcher Class Destroyer  that was given away as a door prize at the DesRon 25 banquet.  In appreciation for my efforts in making the DesRon 25 event a reality Lt. Myers with help from his son Bill Myers, built the 32" model shown below and presented it to me on Oct. 12, 2005.
