Left Photo: The USS SIGSBEE  was laid down 22 July 1942 by Fedreral Shipbuilding and Dry Dock Co., Kearny, New Jersey and was launched on Dec. 7 1942, exactly one year after the attack on Pearl Harbor.  Right Photo: Sigsbee was Commissioned on 23 Janurary 1943 with Mrs. A.O. Commenorative Postcard for the launching of the Sigsbee dated Dec. 7 1942.  This date was also the one year anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor.  I purchased this postcard on Ebay 8-29-01 after receiving a tip from Cheryl Sigsbee.
